Odyssey Financial Technologies rewarded in the 2008 Golden-i Awards

Odyssey Financial Technologies is pleased to announce that it has won the Luxembourg 2008 APSI Flagship Award, launched earlier this year by the Association of Information Professionals (APSI). The Golden-i Awards ceremony took place last Thursday, May 22nd. The award is given to the company with the best entrepreneurial concepts and dynamism in Information Technology and Media Communications. The specific theme of this first edition was the company’s global model, and its competitive positioning and functioning.

From an initial entry of 30 applications, Odyssey was selected from among 10 finalists and invited to appear before the Awards Panel. Two of its co-founders, Guy Eggermont, Board Secretary, and Didier Vankeerberghen, Vice-President Corporate Sales, were able to present the company in person and communicate the passion and determination that have guided the decisions of the company since its creation 13 years ago. At the end of this process, Odyssey was chosen as the best candidate from a list of renowned companies.

“Luxembourg is a country that gives young businessmen and women a chance by trusting and supporting them throughout the creation of their projects,” states Guy Eggermont, Board Secretary, Odyssey Financial Technologies. “We are delighted to have won this trophy, which is a real recognition of the work we’ve accomplished since the foundation of Odyssey in 1995 and of the company’s success.”

The Golden-i Awards ceremony, organised by the magazine IT News 2.0, gathered together around 300 VIPs from the Luxembourg banking and IT sector.
