Odyssey Accreditation Program Scope
The Odyssey Accreditation Program hopes that in two years time most of Odyssey's solutions will be covered by an Accreditation Programme. Currently there is accreditation for the following Odyssey solutions:
- RM and PM workstations
- EDM
For each accreditation type, there are different accreditation levels:
- Bronze, silver and gold for the RM and PM workstations
- Steward and Expert for EDM
For each accreditation type and level, the training programme is customized to suit the following trainee profiles:
- Business consultant
- Project Manager
- Technical consultant who could be more focused on aspects such as:
- Interface development
- Infrastructure management
- Web development
- Actuate development
The purpose is to accredit all the people involved in Odyssey projects. This applies to:
- Clients: project team members and the first level of user support
- Partners: project manager, business consultant or technical consultant
- Odyssey employees: all the people involved in building our solutions, including implementation consultants, project managers, pre-sales teams, members of the Customer Service Centre
From 2008, all Odyssey's new projects will have to start with a training programme and a minimum number of accredited people.
How can you be accredited? The accreditation process is divided into three major steps (irrespective of the level and the related Odyssey solution):
-
Preparation time will be based on the following chapters:
- Reading of product information issued by Odyssey
- Recommended readings issued by external organizations which helps the future trainee
- Self-assessment questionnaire to:
- ensure that the different trainees in the classroom have a common language and minimum knowledge
- assist some accreditation candidates to postpone the Accreditation Programme so they can acquire the minimum level of knowledge
- Emphasize practice and "hands on" exercises
- Cover multiple aspects such as functional coverage, interface aspects, technical architecture, implementation roadmap and all the processes that are specific to Odyssey that can help project teams
- Taken in the training room at the end of the course
- Prepared through intermediate questions and/or exercises done during the course
- Based on Odyssey solution handling
- number of months' / years' experience
- number of Odyssey projects
- accreditation already granted
Finally, people who already have experience with Odyssey solutions will be advised to only do the exams for Bronze and Steward accreditations and, in the case of failure, follow a customized training programme to pass the exam.
Current situationThree accreditations will be available by the end of 2007:
- Bronze Accreditation Programme for RM/PM workstation
- Data steward for EDM
- Project Manager for RM/PM workstation projects
In the course of 2008, the current training catalogue will be adapted to the accreditation courses with a focus on:
- Silver Accreditation Programmes for RM & PM workstations
- Data expert for EDM
