Odyssey reinforces its Asian and Middle Eastern operation and moves offices

language 28-Jan-05

Following another record year of growth in the Odyssey Asia Pacific & Middle East (APME) region, Odyssey has significantly reinforced its regional operation. There have been nine new client sites added in the region in the past two years bringing the total customer sites being managed from the Singapore office to fifteen.

In 2001 Odyssey established a sales office in Singapore to better service the growing potential of the region. Since that time the role of the Singapore office has evolved into a regional operational team with responsibility for the Asian, Middle East and Australasian regions.

There are now over 10 staff employed in the Singapore office covering business consultancy, project management, implementation, reporting (actuate and MIRAGE), integration, account management and sales. Further additions are planned in the coming months to further reinforce the team and to add key skills such as technical consultancy. In addition, the company has plans to open a service centre in Singapore in the latter half of 2005 whereby local clients will benefit from the support window opening in line with their business requirements.

Key partnerships were also established during 2004 to cope with the regional growth and Odyssey now has regional representatives in Dubai, Australia/New Zealand and India.

To accommodate the growth of the team, Odyssey has taken on new office space in Singapore in February 2005. The additional space will not only provide a more comfortable working environment for staff, but will also incorporate client training facilities and provision for the new service centre.

"Our commitment to Asia has really paid off now that over 10% of the company turnover is generated in the APME region. We have huge plans for the region that has become strategic to growth of the company” says Dave White, Regional General Manager. “Importantly our client base now includes local Asian and Middle Eastern banks, which is further evidence of the suitability of the Odyssey solution set to the region. We are committed to offering our local clients with the same high level of service and support enjoyed by clients in other regions and are constantly strengthening our team to do so”.
